Rainbow of Endless Love

Sony Music international Japan

Rainbow of Endless Love is Dr. Luis De La Calle’s fourth solo  album released by Sony Music which features, as main  instruments, a self innovated Andean Chromatic Pan Flute made  by bamboo and the De La Calle Quena Flute™.

The quena’s bamboo head-joint (the ancient Andean flute, which  belongs to the same flute family as ancient flutes like Shakuhachi  from Japan, xiao from China, and other world ancient flutes)  connected to the European transverse flute’s body made by wood.

Falling in Love in Spring

Message from Luis:
"I wrote this song inspired by spring time in full bloom & while being immersed in a festival of love. Spring is the selfless friend of the young which awakens remembrance of the beloved. Radhika  was pining for Shyama and she began to search for him in one  forest grove after another".

Industry Testimonials

This is the first time in history that a full music album based on the Gita Govinda has been produced and released by an international music company such as Sony Music. This album aims to create a niche for Indian music in the international music field and industry.

Dr Howard J. Resnick who holds a PhD in Sanskrit and Indian Studies from Harvard University, was the artistic director of this album.

The album is too good. Pattern of the rhythm is fantastic. Everyone can see Dr. De La Calle’s hardwork in the album. All the songs were composed and performed by Dr. Luis De La Calle and released by Sony Music, Japan.

Dr. De La Calle’s latest solo album “Rainbow of Endless Love” was released worldwide in November 2020 by Sony Music Japan.

This album was inspired by the Gita Govinda, a famous collection of Sanskrit lyrical poetries of a love story, in the eastern tradition. "Record Collectors Magazine", one of Japan's most prestigious and popular music magazines, nominated "Rainbow of Endless Love" as the best albums of 2020 together with albums by Elton John, Elvis Presley, Eric Clapton, Charlie Parker, Santana, Bruce Springsteen, AC / DC and Jimmy Hendricks.

One of Dr. De La Calle's main purposes in producing the "Rainbow of Endless Love" album was to demonstrate a sample of the folkloric styles of Peruvian Afro and Andean music researched in his Ph.D. dissertation and book in music didactics written at the University of Geneva. All eight compositions, arrangements and performances in "Rainbow of Endless Love" were done by Dr. De La Calle.

I have known Dr. Luis De la Calle for over 40 years, as we attended the same elementary, middle and high school, in Lima, Peru. Since elementary school, he displayed a unique talent for playing the zampoña (Andean pan flute) and quena (Andean flute) with great virtuosity.

I learned a key aspect of his personality: tenacity. It didn't matter how challenging the task would be, Luis would put all the necessary time and effort to master it. That ideal character trait allied to his unique talent for music has put him in the position of prominence he is today : Dr. De La Calle is one of the most acclaimed and accomplished multicultural artist innovators in the music world who has received international praise and recognition for over three decades.

Dr. De La Calle is an uncommon case of a wunderkind who turned successful.

Despite all his career achievements, Luis spends most of his time focusing on others rather than on himself. He believes in the common good, in helping others, and is very sensible to the problems facing our contemporary world. His work is very tightly linked to social service, as demonstrated by his work with underserved populations. As the founder and CEO of the De La Calle Foundation, Luis advocates for human rights in education around the world.
